Thats Rhys. He was born August 15, 2008. He came two weeks early on a very rainy day. Lets reminiscence, shall we??
My water broke at 2am on Friday, August 15th. Richard was at work so I called him and told him it was showtime and he needed to get home. Now most would have waited a while before running off to the hospital but the hospital was atleast 30 minutes away and it was pouring down the rain.
After he finally got home, we packed my already packed for almost a month suitcases into the car and headed for the hospital. Mil was waiting for us at the hospital and we got a room right away. When it was for sure my water that had broken, they told me I was only 2cm's but I could have my epidural anyhow. If not, it would have been a few hours until available again. After that, I laid in bed for...hmmm...like 12 hours.
After almost dying of boredom, I was checked at 4pm, and had only gotten to 5cm. Since my water had been broken for 12 hours, they decided I wasnt going any further so I was prepped for c-section.
At 4:41pm, Rhys Anthony Brozewicz came into this world weighing a shocking 5lbs 15oz! This itty bitty thing came out of me????
From here, we are gonna fast forward past the colic and Reflux cause those were not good days. We had four adults taking care of one child, and probably could of used more help. He was quite the handful. But..he got over the colic, and we just recently took him off of his medicine for reflux, and he is doing well.
So..My second reason for this blog is to get into shape. I figure if I can get some major support and ass kicking, I can do it this time! I have been very overweight since middle school, and I am determined for Rhys to have a mommy to play with on the playground...for more than ten minutes! Richard, Rhys' daddy and my husband is in on this weight loss too. We go on walks when we can, or when Rhys is in a good mood. Daddy goes to the gym and I work out here in the house.
Anyways, here I am. Im usually really shy about the whole thing, so this is gonna start out hard. Im gonna be truthful about this, and hope it will help me along.
OK, first...who'd ya con into keeping the blog up for ya? Second, should I look up the caloric count of Little Caesar's??
